California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB)
Formed in 1969 as an instrumentality of the California Department
of Food and Agriculture to promote California dairy products in
an ever-growing and competitive marketplace.
Institute of California
A non-profit trade association that represents milk and dairy
processors on legislative and regulatory matters at the state
and federal levels.
U.S. Dairy Export
A non-profit independent membership organization that represents
the interests of U.S. milk producers, dairy cooperatives, proprietary
processors, export traders and industry suppliers.
Department of Food and Agriculture
The Milk and Dairy Food Safety Branch (MDFS) is charged with the
mission and responsibility of ensuring that California's milk,
milk products, and products resembling milk products are safe
and wholesome, meet microbial and compositional requirements and
are properly labeled.
Council of California

individual values. We do so using a total diet approach in which
dairy is a cornerstone, through innovative learning programs,
research and communication.

Formed to promote economic and environmental sustainability as
the dairy industry continues to grow and create jobs.
Was created to assist dairy producers with navigating and complying
with the rules and regulations governing the industry.
A dairy marketing cooperative that serves and is owned by more
than 18,000 dairy farmers in 48 states.
Provides an opportunity for Certified Organic Dairy Producers
to learn more about the latest trends in Organic Dairy management.
The state's premier gathering of small farmers and those who support
them. The three day educational conference includes on-farm tours,
focused workshops, general educational sessions and opportunities
for peer networking.
County Farm Bureau
An independent, non-governmental, voluntary organization of farm
and ranch families united for the purpose of analyzing their problems
and formulating action to achieve educational improvement, economic
opportunity, and social advancement and, thereby, to promote the
Power Production Program
Purpose is to encourage the development of biologically based
anaerobic digestion and gasification (“biogas”) electricity
generation projects on California dairies.
